Abigail Bates, LCSWA
Clinician-South Office
As a compassionate and dedicated therapist, I specialize in supporting individuals through a range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, suicidal thoughts, and life transitions. I work with teens, young adults, and adults, helping each individual navigate their unique challenges while providing the tools necessary to improve their overall well-being.
I work with clients on a variety of issues, such as:
Life transitions and adjustments
Navigating relationships and attachment styles
Anxiety and panic attacks
PTSD and trauma
College and high school experiences
Mood disorders
Self-esteem and confidence
Women's issues
I believe in a person-centered approach, tailoring therapy to your unique needs and considering which therapeutic modalities will be most effective for you. Drawing from a range of techniques, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Informed Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness-Based Therapy, I work with you to address both the root causes and symptoms of your concerns.
Together, we’ll not only focus on managing your mental health but also explore how your mind and body connect and impact each other, empowering you to develop new insights and coping strategies for lasting change.
When I’m not in session, I enjoy spending time with my miniature dachshund, staying active through cycle classes, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and trying new coffee shops with friends. I believe in the importance of self-care and maintaining balance in life, and I bring this philosophy into my work with clients.
Take the first step today, and let's begin the journey toward healing and growth.
