After beginning his professional career as a teacher, Lonnie Mullet began counseling in 2005 and opened his first practice in Charlotte in 2010. A desire to serve his clients well drives his commitment to ongoing professional growth. He continues to equip himself by acquiring more skills in the fields of EMDR, DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Family Systems. Lonnie focuses on developing the skills needed to best serve clients. He works well with clients who have an awareness of their problems and some discomfort in their present state.
At Clear Creek Counseling, Lonnie enjoys coaching and encouraging his team to develop their gifts and talents. Lonnie also supports mental health practice start-ups with his online course at HelpforCounselors.com. This online course allows clinicians to get the direction they need to launch their private practices. Lonnie’s desire to impact mental health service delivery to local communities drives his quest to help clinicians build sustainable practices.

Executive coaching clients benefit from his systems thinking as well as his clinical and educational background. Lonnie believes that learning best takes place in context, so he often joins business leaders in the workplace. Lonnie resides with his wife and three children in Austin, Texas, and continues in his role as Director of Clear Creek Counseling. In his free time, he enjoys tinkering with model airplanes, complaining about his Cleveland Browns, Guardians, and Cavaliers, and drinking too much coffee.
