Mackenzie is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and a National Certified Counselor. She attended Wofford College for her undergraduate studies and received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montreat College.
Mackenzie has experience from a variety of settings including in-home therapy for children with special needs, crisis stabilization and brief therapy in a hospital setting for adults, as well as a variety of presenting issues with young adults in a University setting.
She found her passion for counseling while serving sexual trauma survivors as a crisis center volunteer. Mackenzie’s goals as a counselor are to assist in identifying meaning and direction as well as reframing challenging circumstances, while identifying the unique special strengths and qualities of each client. Mackenzie strives to work ‘next to’ the client as they lead in the path to reach their contrived goals in a safe, welcoming environment for whatever life may bring. She uses a person-centered, individualized approach for each client’s specific needs and strengths.
Outside of the office, Mackenzie travels to the beach as much as possible, loves trying new restaurants, and having movie nights with friends and family.
