Larry Clark, Jr., MA, LPCA, LCASA is a nomad by circumstance and at heart but established roots in Charlotte, NC in 2010 by way of Oklahoma, Maryland, Central America, West Africa, and a wide variety of cities and countries along the way. In addition to traveling, Larry likes playing soccer and softball, watching hockey (Go CAPS!), tinkering on his Jeep, finding neat antiques, building things, and taking in whatever life experience comes his way. He enjoys watching his two Black Labs run rampant in the backyard, tolerates his son’s 20-lb. cat, and spends as much time as possible with his family.
Larry is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCASA). He is also an accredited provider of Level III Primary Care Teen Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) and a certified Erotic Blueprints Coach.
He views culture and gender identity as assets that contribute to his client’s sense of meaning, identity, and strengths. He provides a safe environment free of judgment and assumptions. Specialty areas include LGBTQ+, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum (high functioning/formerly known as Asperger’s Syndrome), addictions and recovery, sex positive mindsets and intimate relationship development, and the diversity of “third culture kids” and Ex-Pats. To recognize and respect his clients’ unique personalities and to help each person work towards their development, goals, and priorities, Larry uses an eclectic set of modalities.
